The Natural Larder Collective

A story rooted in good food, Scottish provenance and a love of doing things properly.

Our story began with honey

In 2017, Suzie and Iain Millar founded The Scottish Bee Company, inspired by Scotland’s incredible natural larder and a desire to create great-tasting products while supporting Scottish beekeepers and the landscapes their bees depend on.

What began with pure Scottish honey soon grew into dressings, vinegars, condiments and other pantry favourites. But at the heart of it was always something bigger: a love of good ingredients, an interest in where our food comes from, and a belief that the people and places behind it matter.

That idea eventually grew into The Natural Larder Collective.

From One Brand to a Collective

The idea was simple: to create a home for brilliant Scottish-founded brands that could keep their own personalities and stories, while benefiting from being part of something bigger.

In 2024, Nuisance Drinks became the first brand to join the family. With its Scottish roots, inventive botanical flavours and love of overlooked ingredients, it felt right at home.

Goats Cheese Making Kit

The Big Cheese Making Kit followed in 2025, bringing something completely different to the Collective: the hands-on joy of making fresh cheese at home.

In 2026, Scott’s Apothecary and Spice Pots joined the family, bringing two more distinctive Scottish-founded brands into the fold.

Today, Natural Larder Collective is home to The Scottish Bee Company, Nuisance Drinks, The Big Cheese Making Kit, Scott’s Apothecary and Spice Pots. Each has its own identity, products and story — and that’s exactly how we want it.

A Larder Full of Good Things

Our own brands are only part of what you’ll discover here.

We also stock a carefully chosen collection of independent food and drink brands whose products we genuinely enjoy and think are worth sharing — from Scottish makers to brilliant producers from further afield.

The independent brands we stock bring even more to the larder.

We choose them because we love what they make — great food and drink, interesting ingredients and people who care about what they produce.

They remain independently owned, with their own stories, sourcing practices and ways of working. Any organic or other certifications belong to the individual brand or product unless we clearly say otherwise.

Some Of The Things We Care About

GOOD FOOD, FULL OF CHARACTER

From the bold, botanical fizz of Nuisance Drinks to the wildflower-rich honey of The Scottish Bee Company and the hands-on joy of The Big Cheese Making Kit, each of our brands has its own personality and story.

What brings them together is a love of good food, interesting ingredients and doing things thoughtfully — turning simple ideas into something worth discovering.

PROVENANCE & PEOPLE

Scotland is at the heart of our story. We care about where food comes from, the people behind it and the places that shape it.

Across our own brands, we make considered choices around ingredients, sourcing and production, while celebrating the makers, growers and communities that make Scotland’s natural larder so special.

NATURE & POLLINATORS

Our story began with bees, so a love of the natural world has been there from the start.

RePollinate is our independently run sister charity, working to protect pollinators through wildflower habitats, education and practical action. We’re proud to support its work and help more people understand why pollinators — and the places they depend on — matter.
